Import dBase Files into the Address Book

You can import address data from dBase fields into DAZzle for use in printing.

Steps

  1. From the Address Book tab in DAZzle, select File > Import.
  2. In the File of type field, select dBase III/IV.
  3. Navigate to the folder where your dBase file is.
  4. Select your dBase file and click the Open button.

The dBase III & IV File Options dialog box appears.

  5. Map your dBase fields to DAZzle Professional fields:
    1. In the left column under dBase File Field, select the field in the dBase file that you want to use in an address, for example, the Last Name of the person.
    2. In the right column under DAZzle Professional Field, select the matching field.

DAZzle draws a line connecting the two fields, and the Sample Address box displays the field.

    3. After you have mapped each field, click OK.
    4. Optional: Select Save Dash in ZIP Code to display the dash in 9 character ZIP Codes.
  6. Click OK.
